Awu (Yuhua Li) is an artist, video game developer, film director, and theatre producer. She expanded the boundary between video games and theater, to combine them into an interesting form. She created the interactive video game theater piece Virtual Collision, and perform the piece with a 4D Sound System in Muffathalle, Munich. The 4D Sound System developed by Ableton, the system provides an immersive audio playback environment.
Awu holds an MA in Sound Studies and Sonic Arts from Universität der Künste Berlin, she was working in Inkuim game studio as an audio director and Shanghai Canbox.tv film studio as a sound designer. She was involved in several Chinese punk bands as lead singer and bass guitar player.
