BIMM Berlin Graduate Collaborates With Rising Star Jannik Brunke
When inspiration strikes, an artist and producer should be prepared to capture the magic quickly. This well-known music industry fact was recently exemplified during a surprise collaboration between BIMM Berlin graduate Magnus Schroeter and established singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, producer and content creator, Jannik Brunke.
Thanks to a connection between BIMM Berlin and the neighbouring VYBE Brothers Entertainment firm- a management agency operating from the college’s new home at the House Of Music – rising pop signee Jannik Brunke was introduced to recent BIMM graduate Magnus Schroeter for a collaborative project to help finalise one of the young songwriter’s latest original tracks.
As a solo artist with a considerable following (including over 160,000 YouTube subscribers), Jannik used to producing the majority of his creative output independently. However, after striking up an immediate creative rapport with Magnus – a recent Professional Musicianship alumnus – the mission to complete his unfinished track was put on hold in favour of a brand-new composition which the pair wrote, arranged and produced together from scratch.
BIMM was pleased to facilitate the pair’s creative process by utilising renowned recording studios in both its German campuses throughout the project; namely Jazzanova Recording Studios (Berlin) and Clouds Hill Recordings (Hamburg).
Clouds Hill is BIMM Hamburg’s partner studio, offering regular access to our new students with owner Johann Scherer working as a visiting faculty member to our newest campus in Hamburg.
BIMM Berlin regularly works with Jazzanova Recording Studios and Manager Alex Reinemer on a range of different projects.
