The Games Ground Future Talent Scholarship
BIMM University is proud to announce that we have partnered with Games Ground to launch the Future Talent Scholarship, available to students applying to study a video games degree at BIMM University Berlin from September 2024.
Games Ground is a game festival in Berlin with a special focus on inclusivity, diversity and innovation. It started in 2023 and will have a new edition in November 2024. In its first edition, the event consisted of 37 hours of speakers delivering stage content, as well as workshops, game showcases, podcast recordings, all-day tournaments, and a cosplay contest. Throughout the year, outside of the main festival, Games Ground holds small events, workshops, and other activities for the games industry and community.
Games Ground aims to be a dynamic and accessible platform, allowing constructive exchange on equal footing between the gaming industry and its community. Tackling relevant B2B content such as business insights, career opportunities, and education, along with a vast array of exciting activities and game showcases, Games Ground is a festival for all gaming enthusiasts: members of the industry, casual and hardcore gamers and curious newcomers alike.
“We are delighted to continue our work with BIMM University Berlin for the Future Talent Scholarship. Inclusivity is one of our core principles at Games Ground, and this scholarship will create an incredible opportunity for an under-represented voice to start their career in the video games industry.” – Fernanda Pagani, Co-Founder of Games Ground.
The Games Ground Future Talent Scholarship will cover full tuition fees for a candidate beginning their studies on an eligible course at BIMM University Berlin in September 2024. The scholarship aims to support an individual from an underrepresented background or low household income who demonstrates exceptional talent, a strong creative vision, and a passion for driving positive social change through their career in gaming.
This partnership with Games Ground strengthens BIMM University’s commitment to nurturing talent and fostering an environment where creativity and diversity thrive. Working together, we aim to create a more inclusive and equitable games industry, empowering the next generation of innovators and leaders in the entertainment industry’s most fast-growing sector.
