MetFilm School Short Courses
Following the announcement of BIMM Group’s acquisition of MetFilm School, we are pleased to open a wide range of short courses to our students through our partner MetFilm School Berlin.
MetFilm School’s short courses are aimed at students who are looking to gain a first insight into the world of film or who want to deepen their existing knowledge.
Most short courses are open to all with no formal entry requirements. Some courses may require prior relevant experience and/or additional documentation to be provided in addition to your application.
All application requirements will be outlined in the ‘Key Facts’ section of the respective course page.
For students interested in securing their place on a short course, the enrolment process is very easy. Simply choose your course and go through the online application process.
MetFilm School Short Courses
The course is designed for students with some previous experience in visual arts, film or media who are passionate about their vision, who are self-motivated, with an artistic mind, strong communication skills and who enjoy new challenges.
This full-time course is designed to provide students with a comprehensive foundation in directing. It gives students practical experience in all key areas of filmmaking and focuses on directing actors and screen storytelling.
The Eight-Week Documentary Filmmaking (full-time) course is ideal for students who want to bring their passion and ideas for a documentary to life and require training in technical and creative filmmaking skills.
Four-Week Filmmaking is a full-time dynamic and immersive course which covers the core screen crafts such as camera operating, editing, directing, producing and screenwriting.
On this course you will receive a comprehensive instruction in how to use the editing interface of the professional Adobe Premiere Pro suite, not only for basic picture editing but also for sound and creative editing.
Four-Week Cinematography is a full-time intensive and practical course which covers the fundamental skills for aspiring Directors of Photography (DOP).
Four-Week Acting for Film (Level 1) is a Full-Time Screen-Acting course for those who wish to develop their performance skills for the medium of film.
Four-Week Acting for Film (Level 2) is a Full-Time Screen-Acting course for those who wish to build on their previous experience of acting for camera, or those who have completed the Four-Week Acting for Film Level 1 course.
